Imagine being given £1m when you were 21. Most people wouldn't know what to do with that kind of money.

One thing is for certain, most young people with that kind of money wouldn't be off to work for a while, or university for that matter.

You'd probably go on a big holiday, or maybe buy a big car.

Well, this has just become reality for one 21 year old. Alex Best from Newton Aycliffe, County Durham won a £1m prize on the EuroMillions last night.

He now plans to quit his part-time job to try to work in the music industry and buy himself an expensive car - an Aston Martin to be precise.

There is just one snag in his plan. He can't legally drive yet. He is learning to, and his theory test is coming up, but he has no license yet.

After winning the prize on a lucky dip ticket, he said: "I've been learning for about a couple of months and I'm just about to sit my theory test.

"I have my eyes on a few cars, I could even buy an Aston Martin but I'll wait until I pass my test. How many graduates can say their first car was an Aston Martin?"

Fair enough. Just make sure you pass the test first, eh?

Aston Martin is not a bad choice of car.

Because he is not a waste of space, Alex doesn't plan to just lounge around now that he has won a load of cash - he wants to follow his dream and work in music events production.

He has already graduated with a degree from the University of Bolton, so he should stand a chance too.

He said: "I'm still determined to find a job even though I've won this money and I'm going for another interview tomorrow as a production trainee for a big touring company in Surrey.

"Music is my real love and all I want is to be able to work in music production but the million pounds is going to make my life a lot easier.

"While I was training at university I was lucky to work for some big stars like Elton John, Madonna and Bruce Springsteen at big arena shows. All I have ever wanted was to do that for a living and I'm hoping this win will make that possible.

"I don't have to stay in my part time job and I can focus on working in music, hopefully with big stars at massive festivals like Glastonbury. My favourite artists are indie rock bands like Green Day, The Killers and Biffy Clyro; I'd love to work with them."

Good luck to him - not that he seems to need it.
