LAD Shocked To Find Parcel Delivered In Toilet

LAD Shocked To Find Parcel Delivered In Toilet

A pretty accurate metaphor for the postal service.

We've probably all had at least one or two ridiculous experiences when it comes to having parcels delivered.

We've heard of things getting taken to the wrong address, parcels being thrown out of vans in the general direction of the delivery address and even couriers leaving packages in bins as a 'safe place', only for them to be collected by the bin men.

However, one Royal Mail employee in Manchester has taken it to a whole new level by delivering a customer's parcel directly into the toilet. Although, in his defence he was pretty apologetic about it.

Sam Cooke, 22, had ordered some printer ink online after running out.

But when it was delivered to his home, Sam was left in hysterics after finding an apologetic note from an embarrassed postman.

Sam's postie had tried to be clever by delivering the parcel through an open window, but unfortunately, directly below that particular window was Sam's toilet.

After realising what had happened, Sam was quick to post a series of images to social media, documenting the incident, along with the caption, "Well this happened today."

The images show the delivery card, featuring a note from the postman which read: "Put through window" and "I'm really sorry I think your parcel might have fallen in the toilet accidentally".

Sam followed with a photograph of his printer ink in the toilet bowl, beneath his open window.

Royal Mail were quick to respond to the images, Tweeting: "Hi Sam, I'm so sorry they've popped it through the window. We're following so please DM & we'll do what we can to help out & get this sorted."

Thankfully, Sam found the whole thing absolutely hilarious and responded by saying that there was "nothing to apologise for" and that it had given himself "and thousands of others a good laugh".

The images have been retweeted more than 7,600 times and have received thousands of comments from users.

Sam has since been contacted by Royal Mail, who say that the postie is planning to call round and apologise.

Top marks for effort.Featured Image Credit: Twitter/SJCooke94
