Absolute bargain

Wilko has got an absolutely 'banging' deal on at the moment. The budget retailer has revealed that it's selling packets of 12 condoms for only 10p - that is a very good cost per unit ratio.

The contraceptives come in ultra thin, extra safe and flavoured versions, although they're usually in packs of three for 10p. But someone on the Extreme Couponing & Bargaining Facebook group spotted the deal. That page really is the gift that keeps on giving.

Someone shared an image of the shelf, which was taken in the Gravesend branch of Wilko. They shared it, saying: "Safety on a budget."

According to The Sun, Wilko has confirmed that the offer is ongoing in all of their stores across the country while stocks last.

Even these ones are only 10p.

It has no plans to stock them online though, so you'll have to head to your nearest branch if you want to bag a bargain. Use Wilko's store locator tool to find your nearest.

On a serious note, taking charge of your sexual health is something that everyone needs to take responsibility for and it turns out that nearly three in five Brits have had an STI test.

This figure was considerably higher among 53 to 71-year-olds, with 85 percent of respondents in this demographic claiming they have never had an STI test... lord knows what they were getting up to in the swinging sixties and seventies.

The findings are based on a survey of 2,368 UK adults, conducted by online pharmacy Medicine Direct.

The survey found that a third of people had never been educated about STIs at school, while a further 20 percent said the education they did receive on the subject was poor or awful.

Quite gross.

The research also highlighted the fact that many people are erroneously lax about STI testing, with more than a quarter of people saying they would only get tested if they were displaying symptoms of an STI.

Perhaps most shocking of all was the fact that two percent of respondents said they thought STIs were a complete myth.

That might not be a large percentage, but if you scale that up to the whole UK population as a whole, that's thousands of dangerously ill-informed people potentially having sex out there.

If in doubt, always use a condom pals.
