A woman has been arrested after a fight broke out at the gravy station of a Toby Carvery. Seems reasonable...

Police were called to the restaurant in Caerphilly, South Wales, on Wednesday afternoon at around 4.20pm, following reports of an altercation.

According to Wales Online, a witness said the two women began exchanging words at the gravy station section of the eatery before a fully fledged argument begun.

The pair reportedly had to be separated by their partners before the disagreement turned physical and moved to the car park.

A spokesperson for Gwent Police told the publication: "We were called at around 4.20pm last night, Wednesday, December 11, to reports of a fight between two women.

"Officers attended and a 35-year-old woman from Pwllypant area was arrested and has been charged with assault."

Another witness told The Sun: 'It was all very festive and then it all got very heated as the pair were at the gravy station.

"It was about jumping the queue at the carvery. People had clearly had a drink or two. It was a proper shouting match. Their men took them away but then it all flared up again.

"The pair were ushered outside into the car park where there was lot of pushing and shoving."

Previously, if you wanted your roast to go you'd have to actually tip up at the restaurant to collect it, but those days are now gone.

As part of the service, you can order a roast - or a meat free version - as well as a range of puddings that includes crumble in apple, blackberry, and redcurrant varieties, and chocolate fudge cake.

Based on one sample menu, a roast, which usually offers you the choice of turkey, lamb, beef, or chicken, will set you back £7.29.
