Woman Drives Through Plymouth Half Marathon And Causes Absolute Chaos

Nobody should be that angry on a Sunday morning, especially when they are so clearly in the wrong

Bizarre footage has emerged of a very angry woman driving through a half marathon course in Plymouth on Sunday. Don't believe us? Take a look for yourself...

The woman appeared to have had enough of the restrictions on the roads as a result of the Britain's Ocean City half marathon race and simply decided to take matters into her own hands.

Once she was on the race course, it's fair to say that some of the runners were a little bit cross about the fact that someone had driven onto the route.

She then tried to justify her actions by saying that she had only driven slowly on the closed road. Oh, that's perfectly fine then, carry on.

Eventually, after navigating through the flurry of half marathon runners, she stopped when a man managed to open her car door after trying to push her motor back off the course. Not exactly sure whether he thought that through either, but tensions were running high.

A council Highways officer then showed up to bring a bit of common sense to what was very quickly becoming a ridiculous situation. He told her to stop and turn her engine off, which is a reasonable request, but she still wasn't happy.

You see, she had to get to somewhere and had received no information about the race and therefore took it upon herself to drive straight through the runner, which is completely reasonable behaviour. No, wait, actually, no, it isn't.

Upon entering the road, she was accosted by angry runners and said: "I can't get out...listen, I have tried to get out every which way. I have a workshop in Okehampton. I have had no information...I went very slowly."

Well, it must be a very, very important workshop in Okehampton if she decided that she could risk running someone down to get there.

The footage was shot by Rob Bricknell, one of the race's runners, and during the video several people can be heard expressing their concerns about the woman's decision making. They might just have a point, too.

She wasn't stopping, either. Even once the Highways officer came along and told her in no uncertain terms to stop what she was doing, she said: "You phone the workshop (to tell them I'll be late)."

Nobody should be that angry on a Sunday morning, especially when they are so clearly in the wrong.

Hopefully the people at this vital workshop in Okehampton were understanding when she eventually arrived. It sounds like there was a lot riding on it.
