A woman has shared a photo of the hilariously savage message left by her school teacher in her leaving book, in which he compared her 'annoying voice' to the 'worst torture known to man'.

Twitter user Ashleigh (@arcticashhh) posted the photo online yesterday, writing: "Still can't believe this is what my English teacher wrote in my book when I left school."

The blunt message read: "Sometimes I go home and can't sleep because your annoying voice that just doesn't stop keeps ringing in my ears, like the worst torture known to man. That is all. Good luck."

Wow.

In another post, Ashleigh added: "Sarcasm at its finest bcos I barely even spoke in that class."

The tweet has since gone viral, racking up more than 11,000 likes, as people commented to say the note was 'brilliant' and 'funny as f***'.

One person asked: "How annoying must a voice be for your TEACHER to write that?"

Some people suggested that she'd made the whole thing up, with one Twitter user commenting: "Just didn't happen though did it?"

But Ashleigh later returned to the thread to say she was reaching out to her teacher to prove he'd written the message.

She said: "WHY WOULD I LIE ABOUT THIS HAPPENING? I WILL FIND MR SEEDAT AND GET HIM TO PROVE IT IF THAT'S WHAT YOU NEED."

After tracking him down, she shared a screenshot of the direct message she sent to her former teacher, asking him: "MR SEEDAT. PLEASE PROVE YOU WROTE THIS TO ME."

Ashleigh then posted his reply, which said: "Oh my god. It was indeed!"

She responded: "People are saying I made it up. Your words have gone viral Mr Seedat."

Later in the thread, Ashleigh said she remembered that her teacher really had been that 'sarcastic', and that he'd probably written similar messages to other pupils.

She said: "Can I add, Mr Seedat was a funny as f*** sarcastic teacher, I'm almost certain he wrote something just as funny in everyone else's books."

Replying to another Twitter user, Ashleigh also said Mr Seedat was 'everyone's favourite teacher'.

Certainly beats the generic 'good luck' note most of us will have received. What a legend.
