Valentine's Day is fast approaching, which for some us is an opportunity to shower our significant other in cards and flowers. But if instead you are mourning a particularly bad break up, don't panic. We may have found just the thing for you.

I present the 'Cancel My Ex' banner.

Brought to you by the good people at Expocart, the banner allows those who may have been wronged by an ex to air their grievances and list all the cruel things their former partner has done.

So if your ex cheated on you with your brother or sister, or killed your cat in an horrific hoovering accident, you could finally let them know what you think.

Just what St Valentine would have wanted, right?

Seems a fairly reasonable way of sorting out your differences.

The website says: "If you're a scorned lover then we're giving you the chance to get back at your ex with a personalised 'Cancel my ex' banner, so instead of dreading the 14 February you will feel empowered!

"The banners will contain a personal message of your ex's wrongdoings, to display wherever you decide - this could be outside your ex's house or in your local town centre... it's completely up to you.

"Each banner we make will have a personalised/bespoke design, where you can include a photograph of yourself, a message to your ex, and links to your social media if you like. The only rules are; no photos of your ex, and no inclusion of their full name (just to avoid any data breach laws). Aside from that, everything else is fair game."

Good to see there are some rules.

But before you go getting too excited about the prospect of sticking it to your ex, these petty pieces of kit aren't available to everyone. And nor should they.

Why be romantic when you could be super petty?

The company will only make 10 of the massive banners.

The firm says: "Obviously we can't create a banner for every scorned lover in the UK, so we're asking members of the public to submit their worst 'ex stories', so that we can select the 10 most deserving people to receive a bespoke 'cancel my ex' banner.

"For the ten selected people, we'll be professionally designing and producing with their guidance, a 6 foot roller banner detailing the wrongdoings of their ex, which will then be shipped to them ahead of Valentine's Day."

But you better move quickly if you want to be in with a chance.

Expocart adds: "We'll be choosing the ten most deserving on 7 February, with applications officially open now."
