A YouTuber and podcaster has called for an 'Indepubdence Day' after lockdown, where everyone gets a free pint on entry and there's live football on all day.

YouTuber star JaackMaate, whose real name is Jack Dean, is the host of the Happy Hour podcast on Spotify, which features 'intimate interviews with a good dose of hijinks and laughs on the side'.

In a recent episode, released on 22 February, he and fellow presenters Stevie White and Robbie Knox discussed the five laws they would create if they ran the world, with Jack outlining his idea for a new national holiday.

"I'd make a day called Indepubdence Day to celebrate the end of lockdown," he said.

"Pubs have to open at 9am and can't close until 6am the next morning.

"Free pint on entry - whatever you want.

"Every Premier League game is that day, but two hours apart, so from 9[am], 11[am], 1[pm], 3[pm], 5[pm]... So you can watch every Premier League game if you want, and they're all bangers, they're all banger games."

Explaining that the day would obviously only fall on a day where 'everyone's got the vac', he also said snacks would be taken care of, adding: "Chicken wings - free - at the interval. Indepubdence Day."

Other law suggestions included banning cat videos from the internet, getting rid of the 9-5 working week and wars being 'decided by some kind of games'.

Earlier this week, the podcast hit a huge milestone when it became the most listened-to podcast in the UK.

In a video released by the Stakhanov, Jack said: "Happy Hour is officially the most listened-to UK podcast in the UK on Spotify - brilliant, amazing."

He added: "Up the boys, up the boys."

Co-host Stevie also joked: "I was just absolutely buzzing that Happy Hour has climbed up the charts on Spotify - and then Jack dropped me a text to remind me that none of those listeners are because of me.

"So it's just business as usual I suppose."

Robbie said: "Briliant news that Happy Hour is the biggest UK podcast on Spotify, very exciting times. Great being such a high level influencer and going to an endless parade of parties and movie premieres and stuff like that...

"Anyway, better get on 'cause one of my kids has just thrown their pants up a tree and I've got to use this stick to try and get it out."
