Despite Santa’s favourite singer being Elf-is Presley, it looks like an unexpected entry is making a serious push for UK Christmas number one this year.
UK comedic duo Adam Rowe and Dan Nightingale have fast been gathering popularity on with their podcast Have A Word Pod and are now, incredibly, set to make a big claim towards grabbing the coveted title, based on the pre-order numbers of their new single - Laura's Gone.
Paddy power currently have it at 8/1 alongside the liked of Elton John and Ed Sheeran (10/11) and Adele (12/1), with LadBaby at 4/5 – whilst Bet365 have the single at 7/1.

All proceedings from their single are set to go to Charity and the song will feature Finnlay K, who is the assistant producer of the podcast.
Whilst you won’t be able to listen to the song yet, the pre order is expected for 17 Dec 2021.
Fans of the show appear to be absolutely buzzing with the news.
One user tweeted: “I keep cracking up thinking about Elton, Ed and Adele looking at the odds not having a clue who the pod/lid army are.”
“Already done it boys,” someone else wrote.
A third added: “I’ve pre-ordered on all Amazon accounts I have.”
Many also seemed to be looking forward to the outtakes.
Another commented: “The bloopers for this must have been hilarious.”

The comedy duo have labelled their show as ‘the funniest podcast in the game’ and their popularity is increasing rapidly.
Their YouTube description reads: “UK comedians Adam Rowe & Dan Nightingale talking s***e and telling stories with a lot of listener interaction.”
Their host of guests have featured the like of Jimmy Carr, Russell Kane and Stephen Tries.
As you'll be aware, LadBaby who has racked up two Christmas number one's in a row in 2019 and 2020 will be tough to budge as he will look for a hat trick of hits.
The YouTuber and blogger (Mark Hoyle) also arranged for the proceedings of his hits to go to charity.
