Optical Illusion Divides The Internet With Some Seeing Beach And Others Seeing Car Door

Optical illusions are the worst, aren't they? Which probably doesn't set you off on a positive note given the topic at hand. But, c'mon they're well annoying.
You don't really want to waste your time and energy staring at it for an inevitably lengthy amount of time but once you've scrolled past you can't help but stop and... gawk.
The latest optical illusion has completely divided people who can't agree on whether the picture shows a beach or a car door. Oh and apparently, if you can see the former you're a God damn artist.
if you can see a beach, ocean sky, rocks and stars then you are an artist, But its not a painting its lower part of the car gate which needs to be repaired. pic.twitter.com/dCMC49PBQS

The picture was posted to Twitter days ago and has since appeared on a Reddit thread.
One person wrote: "Holy s**t I could only see the beach and didn't know what I was supposed to be looking at," another added: "Theres even a ship in the distance, what the f**k?"
Don't think there is, mate.
A third was adamant, saying: "It's a garage door/garage gate".
Trying to assist those who weren't sure what they could even see, one helpful person said: "Don't know if this will help or if you were kidding, but I'll try and explain it.
"The dark blueish sky is the tailgate closed, the water below that is the rear bumper I believe, and it's silver and there is a chip in the middle, then below that is the ground."
Either I'm very artistic to see the beach and sky or whoever took this picture has a very good aesthetic sense cause this picture is not ordinary!

Another optical illusion that was doing the rounds some time ago shows either an old lady or a young woman staring into the distance.
You've probably seen it before but researchers now believe that what you see depends entirely on your age.

Apparently, the study found that older people will notice the older woman first, while younger people will see the younger figure.
The study, published by two psychology professors at Flinders University, Australia, included 393 participants from the ages of 18 to 68, with an average age of 32.
The participants were shown the 'My Wife or My Mother-in-Law' image for half a second before being asked to reveal the gender and age of the figure they spotted first.
Most of the participants said they saw the younger woman's figure first. Maybe we can just stop with these things now...
