Most parents try a few tricks over the festive period in a bid to keep their kids entertained.
However, this dad may have just come up with the best gimmick for his four children - having a nap and getting them to draw him in the meantime.
Monica Weber, a mum-of-four who lives in Colorado, USA, had gone shopping when her husband Michael put his genius plan into action.

When she returned home she discovered their kids sat on the floor sketching and her hubby curled up with a blanket draped over him.
Taking to Facebook, Monica wrote: "'I'll keep the kids so you can grocery shop in peace'....then I come home to this.
"I'm pretty sure he's the most brilliant man I've ever known. He has them doing 'realism art' while he 'poses' AKA naps. The winner gets a chocolate, but let's be honest, @michael.w.weberjr is the one winning lmao. Nice one Michael, nice one!"
Monica's post has now gone viral with 27,000 reactions and 34,000 shares. Many people have been tagging their other halves, giving them inspiration or dubbin the move 'smart parenting'.

One wrote: "Wow my kids would totally fall for this and sit there for hours," another added: "This guy has blocked fatherhood".
A third tagged their partner saying: "When you ask how come our son always behaves for me but not for you... this is the kinda s**t I'm pulling."
Another dad from Bedfordshire has come up with another trick for his daughter which he uses when he doesn't want to travel to McDonald's.
Instead Andy Penn opts to recreate a Happy Meal at home for his daughter Chloe, using supermarket food and spare McDonald's packaging.
The 37-year-old reckons he spends £1.70 ($2.20) on his homemade Happy Meals which includes a toy, saving around £1.09 ($1.40) in the process.

He pops the chicken nuggets into the deep fat fryer and cooks the chips before repackaging them into the fast food restaurant's wrappers - completing the meal with a £1 ($1.20) toy from Poundland.
Andy, a fork lift load operator, decided to take to Facebook to share his 'parenting tip', as you must do in 2019.
He posted the photos with the caption: "Parenting tip from me. Next time you're at McDonald's, ask the staff nicely for some spare packaging (they don't seem to mind when you explain).

"Then, when your child wants 'a happy meal' and you can't be bothered to leave the house or wanna save the pennies, you can just make them up one at home. Just don't forget the toy."
