A dad and his daughter played a prank on an unsuspecting house guest, when he pretended to put a camera in her bedroom.
The whole thing was filmed for TikTok, where it was originally uploaded, and it showed Syrena Garcias and her dad Ygnacio performing impeccably.
In the video, Ygnacio can be seen standing in the doorway of a room, while his daughter Syrena films, pretending to be unaware of the prank as it takes place. The whole time, Syrena's boyfriend is lying on the bed watching the action unfold.
Syrena says to her dad: "Can you get out of my room?"
He replies: "No, not really. So I've just got home, I take a shower, I see your friend in here and I don't like it, so now I know I can't trust you guys..."
Syrena interjects to correct her dad, saying: "Boyfriend!"
Ygnacio continues: "Number one, he didn't even ask me to be in the room, so I can't trust you guys, so guess what..."
He brandishes a CCTV camera and starts putting it up on the wall.
Syrena, doing her best 'annoyed' voice, says: "Are you serious? Really, a camera in my room, IN MY ROOM?"
Her dad confirms that yes - he's serious.
He explains: "So now I know exactly what you motherf***ers are up to. So no touching, no kissing, no flirting - nothing. Right?"
The boyfriend knows he doesn't want to be on the bad side of Ygnacio, who is about five times his size, and quickly and wisely agrees, saying: "Right!"
Syrena ends it by joking: "This is what my parents do, help me please."
Of course, people took it all very seriously.
One TikTok user commented: "He's just saying 'if you are over the age of 18 and still living in my house you will obey my rules - if not you are out.'"
Another was fooled by that incredible acting, commenting: "I mean, yeah, maybe she did break his trust, but even then a camera in the room is a bit too far. No actually, it's way too far."
A third was with the dad, writing: "It's not YOUR room if you don't pay rent. Move out if you have a problem with their rules. You'll understand where he's coming from when you have kids."
Putting the record straight, Syrena said: "My dad would never actually put a camera in my room.
"He believes in trusting me but we had fun filming this video on the spot."
