So earlier today footage emerged of a woman stealing an Uber drivers tip in New York.
The internet was shook - even more so because she even appeared to stare brazenly into the camera as she plunged her hand into the box of money.
Let's just go over that one more time.
Apparently the woman in question gave zero shits. She even didn't seem to care she was being filmed. At one point, she seems to reconsider, retracting her hand from the box with a jolt, but then she decided to go for it anyway.
By the time the taxi driver glanced and noticed what had happened she'd legged it the fuck out of there.
But in this age of Twitter lynch-mobs and internet shit storms does any crime blown hysterically out of proportion for the sake of social media engagement go unpunished? You better know it doesn't.
The 18-year-old woman has now been identified on Instagram and calls herself simply 'Gabita'. Like Ronaldo, or Maradona, or Prince.
She also posts selfies.
No, seriously, she posts a hell of a lot of selfies.
Uber says her account has been terminated and that this sort of behaviour would not be tolerated on its app.
"What's been shown has no place on our app and the rider's access to the app has been removed," a spokesperson for Uber told MailOnline.
Although apparently she's pretty unrepentant about her crime. She allegedly posted an image of the taxi footage and described herself as a 'Spanish mami', jokingly adding the hashtag #makesmartchoices.
