Kid Has The Most Adult Response To Disneyland Closing Down

'Someone give this kid a TV show'

As the coronavirus continues to dominate headlines, businesses all over the world are taking steps to try to minimise the risk of the virus spreading - including Disneyland.

With holiday plans scuppered and whole cities being placed on lockdown, the Walt Disney Company has taken steps to close down its theme parks, hotels and cruise line this week, as well as postponing production on all live action projects.

Every time of crisis needs a hero, of course, and one kid's reaction to the closure of Disneyland in California has been met with hilarity across the internet. Cometh the hour, cometh the man.

The Canadian LAD, who was interviewed on Fox 11 Los Angeles, presented viewers with the most perfect reaction ever. Wearing his poncho, with his umbrella resting on his shoulder, he told the reporter of his predicament in the most matter-of-fact way possible, then rounded off his response with a sip of his Starbucks.

Elias Sharf, who exuded a wisdom (or at least a world-weariness) beyond his years, was asked about the park's closure, and responded simply: "It's closing for the whole month and we've come from Canada... We took a long trip to get here."

Stark print cannot do justice to his words, however. The video, which was shared on Twitter by LA Times writer Arash Markazi, needs to be seen for its full effect.

Underneath the video, Markazi really elaborated on the kid's attitude, writing underneath: "I'd like to think he took a drag of his cigarette a couple minutes later as he talked about missing out on It's a Small World [one of the theme park's long-standing attractions]."

He later wrote: "I don't know Elias... but this video has given me so much joy over the past couple of days. I'd love to treat him and his family to Disneyland and Starbucks whenever they re-take that 'long trip to get here'."

Others clearly enjoyed the kid's hilariously laid-back demeanour.

One replied: "Lol he's so sophisticated."

The sip is the finishing touch.

Another said: "The way he sips his coffee screams elderly man who has seen one too many bad things in his life and just doesn't give AF anymore."

A third commented: "Someone give this kid a TV show. Everything about this is baller from the way his umbrella is just kicking back off his shoulder to the swagger sip."

Elias's performance was just what we needed to see in these testing times. What a LAD.
