Mum Shows Why It's Important To Clean Your Car Seats

Mum Shows Why It's Important To Clean Your Car Seats

It's oddly satisfying

How often do you clean your car? More importantly, how often do you really clean your car? Well, a mum in Australia has shared a video showing why you will probably want to start doing it more regularly.

In the pretty grim clip that was posted to a Facebook group, the mum uses a Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution carpet cleaner to reveal all the dirt hiding in the cushions.

At first, you wouldn't think there is too much wrong with her car, it looks pretty clean.

But then she turns on the vacuum and it's a totally different story, as thick lumps of dirt are pulled out of the material, turning the once transparent liquid a very dark, murky black.

The caption for the video read: "Bloody disgusting! This is just a general clean, there wasn't anything spilled or any really visible stains - just 10 years of filth.

"Video proves you should be washing your car seats MUCH more often."

The mum said it was vital you cleaned your car seats regularly.

Now, while for most people the image of filth being sucked out of a seat is pretty disgusting, for understandable reasons, some of the mums in the group thought it was strangely satisfying.

Commenting on the post, one person wrote: "This is disgusting. I love it."

A second follower then echoed: "Oh dear... but so very satisfying."

While another added: "That was so bloody satisfying to watch!"

Earlier this year, another mum showed just how important it is that you also make sure you clean your carpets regularly, too.

In the clip posted to Australian Facebook group Mums Who Clean, the mum empties the container of her deep-clean vacuum, pouring out a dark brown liquid into her sink.

And though it's only recommended that you clean your carpet in this way around once a year, the mother said she has to do it more regularly because her daughter struggles with asthma so uses her heavy duty cleaner to get rid of the dirt.

She then asked others in the group how often they choose to do a once over.

Commenting on the post, one mum said: "Well that makes me feel like a grot. My carpet is five years old and I just vacuum one to two times a week, though have been thinking to have it professionally cleaned soon."
