Tesco Manager Catches Employee Making Hilarious Announcement Over Tannoy

Over the past year, there has been very, very little to smile about, but a Tesco employee has been using the power of the tannoy to share some joy with customers.

But Nathan Lorenzo was almost in hot water with his manager with one of his latest announcements telling customers it was almost closing time.

In a video posted to his TikTok account, Nathan can be seen at the customer service desk and starts his announcement, informing shoppers they need to pick up their last few items and head to the checkouts.

He says: "Good evening my pumpkins, it's yours truly and this is the customer announcement.

"Now, don't go shooting the messenger but I do have some awful news I have to inform you of."

Panicked by what he's hearing, Nathan's manager then comes running over to see what he's doing, with shouts of 'Nathan' heard in the background.

Continuing, Nathan says: "The awful news is that we will be closing in the next 10 minutes.

"So if you all select those final items, [inaudible], and foxtrot down to our checkout, where you will be served by the fabulous Sean.

"You all have a lovely evening, thank you once again for shopping with us at Tesco."

A concerned Nathan then turns around to see his manager standing next to him.

Following the video, some messaged to ask whether he was in trouble and if, in fact, he had been sacked for his announcement.

Fortunately, Nathan revealed in a separate video that he was still employed by Tesco and he had just been told to be careful about the content he posts on social media.

His manager, however, was cool about the whole thing and probably came running over, Nathan says, because he just didn't know what he was going to say.

He says: "Literally, all he said after was to be careful what you post on social media and TikTok, as sometimes head office people have been quite funny about it in the past with other people.

"But I think I'm doing good and they're fine with it because head office people, well, one of them, actually commented on one of my TikTok tannoys saying, 'Oh, we all love it here', like, 'keep up the tannoys'."

He added: "So yeah, nothing really exciting happened after. He's lovely, the manager, by the way, but he's left now."

LADbible has reached out to Tesco for a comment.
