There's Been A Huge Surge In 'Area 51' Searches On Pornhub

If Pornhub Insights has taught us anything, it's that whenever something - anything - is the subject of conversation, it is also a subject of masturbation.

When the Super Bowl rolls around, there's a surge in searches for cheerleaders and footballers. I mean, whatever. Makes sense; it ain't so weird. But as you're probably aware, the hot topic at the moment is Area 51, which means, well... ewww.

You might think that just because a subject is trending, doesn't mean it is fiddled over. However, searches for Area 51 - a highly classified US Air Force base in Nevada linked with alien conspiracy theories - have skyrocketed on Pornhub recently, proving categorically that if somebody can think about something, then they can also w*** about said thing.

Prior to 12 July, there were no searches for Area 51 on everyone's favourite porn site (thank the lord), but over the days that followed it became a popular search term, with an unsettlingly whopping 58,992 searches for Area 51 on 16 July alone.

Honestly, what video were these people hoping to watch?

Well, good/bad news - the Pornhub Insights team did some extra digging.

They found that 'alien' searches were popular prior to the Area 51 hysteria, with an average of 30,000 alien-based searches per day recorded over the past year.

Now, I know what you're thinking - 'this article has been really interesting so far, but what I really want is more details regarding what depraved cosmic filth people search for'. Well fear not, dear reader, for here is the most popular alien porn search... 'Alien impregnation'.

I don't want to kink shame, but honestly, how is that... I mean... why would... oh whatever, crack on.

Other alien porn searches featured in the top 20 include: alien probe, alien breeding, alien abduction, alien belly (WHY?) and animated alien hardcore.

If you've got this far and you're wondering why everyone is talking about Area 51, basically an event was created on Facebook called 'Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All Of Us'.

It was supposed to be just a bit of a laugh, but it got way out of hand, with more than 3.3 million people expressing an interest in the invasion plan, which involves throwing pebbles and running faster than bullets.

It got so out of hand in fact, that the US Air Force actually issued a very stern warning to those even half-thinking about going ahead with the storming.

If there are aliens being hidden in Area 51, then judging by what some people have been searching for on Pornhub, we'd best hope the US Air Force can stop all of them.
