In the clip, which was shared with the caption 'We're living in a simulation', she can be seen playing out the message on her phone.
But while she might have expected to receive a nice message from her family and friends, Ari actually got a surprise voice recording from a random man she once met in a nightclub.
Oh, and it's in the form of a song, which only adds to the strangeness.
He goes: "Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear crazy girl who I met at Tequila Cowboy and never thought I'd be in contact with two years later, happy birthday to you."

I mean, it's a nice gesture, you can't deny that.
And since the video was shared, it has been viewed over 239,000 times, with hundreds piling into the comments to share in the awkward love-in.
One user wrote: "This is the chaotic good energy we need."
Another chimed in: "Lol I can just tell he's always the funniest guy in the room."
"This is the dream arrangement for me," put a third.

While another added: "He sounds fun!! Truly fun people who are not crazy are rare gems."
For some, however, only one question remained: what happened next?
Responding to someone asking whether the guy got a second date, Ari revealed: "We literally hang out once a year, so we'll see. Oddest dynamic."
But she's not the only one to have a bit of a strange relationship with someone she barely knows.

In the comments, another user shared a similar tale.
They said: "I sent this video to someone I met at a Halloween party like 10 years ago."
When asked what the other person said, the person explained: "Me: vibes. Her: so much truth.
"Literally have only seen her for 45 minutes in my whole life."
