Actress Claims She Was Refused Role For Being Too Sexy

It's not us, it's you...

We've all had bad job interviews - in fact, it's thought that if you go to a job interview the people offering the job know within 12 seconds whether you're the person for it.

What they usually don't say is 'you're just too hot'.

No, that's a new one.

However, a Peruvian actress claims that this is exactly what has happened to her. She claims that she didn't get a role in a new film because the film's production team found her to be just too damn sexy for the part.

Aye, perhaps that's what they told her. Perhaps she's just no good at acting.

Maybe that's a little unkind, but this is genuinely what Stephanie Cayo says happened to her at a recent casting.

The 30-year-old made her name starring in the popular Mexican show La Hermanadad ('The Brotherhood') but perhaps the role she was auditioning for here was a dead body, or a horrifically gruesome alien monster? You can probably see how she wouldn't be considered for those roles.

Normally, knowing the world of TV you'd have to imagine that the more attractive the person is, the more likely they are to get the part, but this might not apply to corpses and monsters.

Furthermore, she refused to say which film it was, so we can't even perform any more research and we'll just have to take her word for it.

That said, she doesn't look to have let it get her down too much. In fact, she appears to be revelling it. After all, there will be other jobs.

Within hours of revealing this piece of shameful 'discrimination' she posted a video to her Instagram followers - nearly one million in number - of her dancing to a Janelle Monae song.

She captioned the video: "Let's dance today! Hey, Dance Studio Peru, 'it's just the way you make me feel'..."

OK, but don't be surprised when every casting director that you meet decides that you're simply too stunning to be in their movie. Jeez, some people never learn, eh?

If she doesn't make it as an actor in the end, at least she can fall back on one of her many other careers.

She's been singing, songwriting, modelling, and dancing since the age of nine. Perhaps she needs to cut a few of those careers off and spend more time on the acting.
