Body Of A Crocodile Spotted On Liverpool Street

Body Of A Crocodile Spotted On Liverpool Street

A woman stumbled across the body of what looks to be a crocodile while out and about in Liverpool - which surely came as a bit of a surprise to say the least.

The whopper of a lizard was spotted by a woman on her way home from work last night (Wednesday 13 November) who claimed you could see its 'bones' sticking out.

The woman told the Liverpool Echo that she initially thought it was a branch or stuffed toy but as she got nearer realised it was a croc.

Other people also spotted the creature and it wasn't long before a number of photos and videos began circulating online, with many people in disbelief about what they were looking at.

In pictures that surfaced later on in the evening, the animal's body could be seen in cut in half.

The woman, who didn't want to be named, told the Echo: "I was walking with my boyfriend on Lower Lane, about to turn onto Longmoor Lane, and didn't really take any notice of it.

"I thought it was maybe a branch or something but as we got closer he said 'that's a crocodile' but I told him it couldn't be.

"We got closer and I could see all the features and colour and scales so assumed it was maybe a teddy but we got right up to it and you could see its bones and teeth."

The woman added: "People have been commenting saying they saw it on the road and then on the grass verge so I don't know whether it has been run over or someone has cut it in half but you can see its spine sticking out."

After people questioned whether the photos were legit, the woman popped back out and made a quick video to show that, yep, it certainly did seem to be a croc, lying out dead on the streets of Liverpool.

Commenting on the photos on Facebook, some suggested it was a taxidermy body of a croc saying it looked to be 'stuffed with hay' and others suggested it may have been someone's pet that got out or was dumped after dying.

Whatever it is, it's a long way from home.
