Brazilian Romario Dos Santos Alves, now 26, is a real-life Hulk.

I just hope he's not always as angry.

You wouldn't merit this, but Romario has actually taken a few supplements and injections to help increase his muscle growth over the years. I know it all looks natural but apparently Romario was also cheating a little bit in the past. He genuinely had an obsession with trying to look like the Hulk and that meant he would stop short of nothing to make this happen. This included spending nearly a year injecting himself with mineral oil twice a week, according to The Sun. Apparently this makes you bulk up and at the height of his monstrousness he had 20-inch arms.

He has since stopped taking these altogether.

He reflected: "After a while my body started changing absurdly.

"People started to look at me a bit different. They were afraid. They were scared."

He admits that injecting himself became an addiction and it was only two revelations - one that he was going to be a dad, and the other that his wife Marisangela Marinho would leave him if he didn't change, that made him turn the corner.

He said: "My marriage and my wife is more important than vanity. I love my family life with my wife and my son.

"I'm thankful to God for putting them in my life so I could see life isn't just about big muscles. There are more important things." Once he'd realised his priorities in life, he stopped taking the mineral enhancements and this was five years ago. He still looks mental now.

Just stick to the spinach, Romario.
