Bride Stages An Entire Fake Wedding Just To Propose To Her Boyfriend

As far as weird wedding proposals go, this takes the cake...

A bride-to-be planned an entirely fake wedding so she could propose to her boyfriend, who thought he was supposed to be the best man.

As far as bizarre and obscure wedding proposals go, this is right out there.

Basically, 40-year-old Paul Schoproni thought he was the best man at the wedding of a friend, but was given the shock of his life when his girlfriend, Aleasha Pilawa, emerged wearing a wedding dress and started walking down the aisle singing.

All of the guests at the wedding were in on the trick, which presumably made it even more funny that Paul himself had no idea.

Paul got the shock of his life when his girlfriend Aleasha proposed to him at a fake wedding.

Aleasha said Paul had been constantly proposing to her for years, so she thought that she'd stitch him up by proposing herself.

In a video, which was taken by one of the guests at the fake wedding, Aleasha comes dancing down the aisle in full wedding gear singing Motown hit 'It Should've Been Me'.

Quite quickly, given the absurdity of the situation, Paul realises what is going on and punches the air with joy.

When his bride arrives, she drops to one knee and asks him to marry her.

However, Paul replied: "No!"

He then pretends to run away, but it's pretty obvious to see that he's joking.

The surprise, which took place in Bargoed, Wales, must have took some planning, but appears to have gone off without a hitch.

Aleasha told Wales Online: "For the last two years he's proposed to me about 30 times a day.

"I'm doing a degree in HR management and running two tyre repair garages so having someone asking to marry you all the time can be exhausting.

"Besides I've been married twice already and was a bit reluctant to go through all that again."

Aleasha said Paul used to propose to her '30 times a day'.

She added: "He used to do things like stand outside there in the morning as I drove past holding a billboard saying 'Will you marry me?' - proper embarrassing.

"So I thought I'd finally put him out of his misery."

Paul said: "The minister was there in all this dark clothing, so I never suspected for one minute the day wasn't for [my friend].

"Then in she came singing our song - I thought it was a joke at first.

"And even now, despite the fact I've probably watched the video a hundred times, I still can't quite believe it.

"Fair play - I have to say I'm pretty impressed she managed to do all that."

Fair play, indeed. It worked a treat.
