Jeremy Clarkson Argues With His Daughter Over Greta Thunberg

Would you believe Jeremy isn't keen on the 16-year-old climate activist?

Jeremy Clarkson has responded after his daughter weighed in on his criticism of 16-year-old climate change activist Greta Thunberg.

Emily Clarkson had a pop at her dad after he launched an attack on Thunberg, whose only crime is asking that we - if it isn't too much trouble - try to avoid turning Planet Earth as a smouldering husk of a planet by the time she's a grown up.

Clarkson called her a 'spoilt brat' and said that she should 'shut up'.

After Liverpudlian comedian John Bishop offered his support to Thunberg, Clarkson's 25-year-old daughter weighed in to give her dad what for.

Em Clarkson had some choice words for her blowhard father.

Responding to Thunberg, Bishop wrote: "You are an inspirational person. You have breathed life into the climate debate that was failing to get the attention it deserved. Whatever happens with the world it is a better place with you in it."

You see, that's a nice and wholesome thing to say to a young woman trying to make a difference.

Then, laying the smack down on her blowhard dad, Clarkson the Younger offered: "Wouldn't it be nice if all middle aged blokes could talk to and about Greta, the ballsy af teenager out there changing the world, like this."

Clarkson Senior - polluting the atmosphere with yet more hot air - chimed in with: "Wouldn't it be nice if she learned some manners."

This isn't the first time that Jeremy has aimed barbs at the teenage environmentalist.

In his column for The Sun, the professional windbag wrote: "How dare we? No. How dare you sail to America on a carbon fibre yacht that you didn't build which cost £15 million, that you didn't earn, and which has a back-up diesel engine that you didn't mention."

"And then pause for a moment to consider how soundly you sleep at night, knowing that adults are building and servicing and flying Sweden's fighter planes. To keep you safe.

"We gave you mobile phones and laptops and the internet. We created the social media you use every day and we run the banks that pay for it all.

"So how dare you stand there and lecture us, you spoilt brat."

Clarkson responded to his daughter on Twitter.

He then some 'advice' for Greta. Clarkson said: "Something needs to be done about that. So how's this for an idea. Get back to school as quickly as possible and work hard in your science lectures.

"Because science is what will solve the problem eventually. Not scowling and having screaming ab-dabs every five minutes.

"Many thousands of people who you had the temerity to blame this week are trying to do exactly what you want.

"So be a good girl, shut up and let them get on with it."

Wow, he must be a really big man to get this bent out of shape by a 16-year-old trying to stop people destroying the world.

There's a lot of that going around at the minute. Remind me again, who needs to grow up?
