If you thought that the state of the world couldn't get much worse, guess what, it has. And it's all thanks to Gwyneth Paltrow.

Not content with inflicting vagina-scented candles on the world, the actor has now gone one step further with one that captures the odour of her... umm, 'in the throes of passion'.

Yes, the 47-year-old's company Goop has launched a candle with a scent called 'This Smells Like My Orgasm'.

The Iron Man star unveiled the bizarre creation during a remote appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, telling the host that it 'might be more for you, to give to your wife'.

Why she thinks Jimmy's wife - or anyone's for that matter - would want the smell of her having sex wafting across their living room is anybody's guess.

But considering her vagina-scented candles sold out when they were launched earlier this year, the market is clearly there.

Paltrow's most recent intimate release.

Paltrow's latest release will set you back a hefty $75 (£60). It is available from the Goop website and, thankfully, the actor was just joking about it smelling like her orgasm.

The description reads: "A fitting follow-up to that candle - you know the one - this blend is made with tart grapefruit, neroli, and ripe cassis berries blended with gunpowder tea and Turkish rose absolutes for a scent that's sexy, surprising and wildly addictive."

Now, Paltrow isn't one to shy away from being open when it comes to intimate topics. Hell, she once released an intimate guide to anal sex.

In her March 2017 newsletter - The Sex Issue - she touched on the backdoor, often an avoided orifice, speaking with an expert on the matter.

It comes hot on the heels of her vagina candle.

She said that if you find yourself enjoying the once taboo sex act, then you're not alone, writing: "If anal turns you on, you are definitely not alone, but its prevalence doesn't change the fact that it's the riskiest sexual behavior in terms of HIV and other STDs".

Speaking to research psychoanalyst Paul Joannides, Psy.D, they found stats that say 30 to 40 percent of straight women and men have tried anal. Paul, an expert on the subject, claims that it was at the halfway point in the Noughties when the line between the vagina and rectum became very mixed.

"Porn had totally blurred the distinction between a woman's anus and vagina," he said. "The anus isn't designed to have a penis thrust up it; nature did not spec it to handle incoming, as she did with the vagina.

"During anal intercourse you're basically putting a plunger up someone's butt. Accidents are likely to happen at one time or another. Pain is an important indicator that damage can occur if you don't make the necessary adjustments, including stopping."
