A man has reportedly chopped his own hand off and placed it in a jar full of liquid.
The man, a suspected drug addict, shocked rescue workers when they arrived at his home in the village Khurba, in Russia's south-eastern Khabarovsk Krai region, and found a bloody trail and a jar with a hand in.
According to local police, the young man, who hasn't been named, lives with his mum. Local media reports that the youth was a drug addict, high on a synthetic substance, when the incident happened.
He was taken to hospital for treatment - where, hopefully, they can re-attach the hand. No further details have been revealed about the case, but after the photos appeared online, some questioned the validity of the story and others wondered what could have possibly led the man to lop off his own hand.

However, he's not the first to do such a thing. Back in February, a woman from Essex revealed that she had cut off her pinky, named it 'Wiggles', and now wears it in a little vial around her neck. Nothing weird about that.
Torz Reynolds decided to remove the appendage before placing it in some alcohol to stop it from rotting and now wears it on a chain, because it 'looks cute' apparently. I think this is one of those 'each to their own' occasions.
She said: "You don't want to waste it so why not turn it into a necklace?

"'I thought a necklace would be the easiest thing to make and I wanted to do something to mark Wiggles' first birthday."
She's also wears a series of cute little hats on what's left of her little finger - I'm not going to lie to you, I actually find this quite cool. Not cool enough to chop my finger off to replicate it, but still.
In preparation for the self-imposed amputation, she practiced bending it backwards to see how she'd do without it. After finishing dinner, she numbed the finger and then cut it off with bolt cutters.
