'Popeye' Bodybuilder Who Injects Oil Into Biceps Says He Has Biggest Arms In Russia

'Popeye' Bodybuilder Who Injects Oil Into Biceps Says He Has Biggest Arms In Russia

Whether it's pressure from magazines to look a certain way or to make sure that 'special someone' swipes right and not left, people are now more obsessed with their appearance than ever.

The Tinder generation are pushing their bodies to extremes in pursuit of perfection, and when you have 'role models' like Marky Mark posting their grueling gym schedules isn't that surprising.

But most people don't have time to work out twice a day, prepare a week's worth of bland meals, or jump in their own cryo-chamber, like the former Calvin Klein model, and really, who would want to? It sounds awful.

One man certainly agrees.

Twenty-one-year-old Kirill Tereshin has taken the internet by storm with his rather different approach to fitness. Instead of relying on diet and exercise, he injects himself with a substance called synthol, which has allowed his arms to grow to an incredible size.

And the controversial bodybuilder who dozens of images to his army of more than 500,000 fans on on social media, flexing his 62 centimetre (24 inch), has now boasted as having the biggest arms in Russia.

Kirill said: "Nobody has arms like that, that is it, I am number one."

'Popeye' Bodybuilder Raising Money For UK Operation To Save His Arms

As reported by LADbible last year, Kirill does work out in addition to using synthol, but said that he would like to break bodybuilding records, and after injecting synthol saw his arms grow by 10 inches in just 10 days.

Initially injecting himself 250 ml into his biceps, he found growth limited.

Kirill said at the time: "In order to reach such a size, you need to inject litres into your arms... I was doing it and getting a fever of up to 40 degrees, I was lying in bed, feeling like I was dying, but then it all turned out fine."

Well, that's me sold.

Despite the boast however, some have been critical of the real life Popeye's methods for success, saying that if his muscles were meat they would not be regarded as fit for human consumption because of the substances that had been injected into them.

Others have questioned the former soldier's constant need to attract attention, with previous antics including dyeing his hair, wearing make-up, and even considering breast implants.

One person commented: "Seriously, has our society fallen so low that we deserve such heroes?"

Doctors say he is jeopardising his health as synthol can cause ulcers, granuloma, pulmonary embolisms, nerve damage and even strokes.

Just remember guys, size isn't everything.
