Pornhub Launches Parody Site Scrubhub To Remind Us To Wash Our Hands

Pornhub has launched a spin-off parody site called Scrubhub to encourage us all to wash our hands during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Scrubhub, which you can check out here, is a lot like its sister site Pornhub, except instead of seeing step siblings up to no good you can enjoy some literal good clean fun with clips of people washing their hands to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. Lovely.

The names of the clips aren't a million miles away from what you'd see on Pornhub, with tempting titles such as: "*MILF ALERT* THIS HOT MOM IS READY TO TURN THE HOT HOT HEAT ON!!!!!" And "HOT GIRL GOES WILD IN PUBLIC IN PREMIUM POV - DIRTY 2 DISINFECTED!"

Although very silly, Srubhub was set in with the hopes of raising some cash for charity.

Pornhub worked in collaboration with Los Angeles based creatives Ani Acopian and Suzy Shinn to create the page, which will raise funds for Invisible Hands, a charity that delivers food and groceries to vulnerable people, and Frontline Foods that is providing meals to people who are working on the frontline during the pandemic.

A description on the site reads: "We made Scrubhub to make people laugh in hopes of raising money for non-profit organisations that are helping people affected by Covid-19. We chose to highlight the seemingly mundane, yet crucial act of hand washing in the only way we know how to - by giving everyone something that no one asked for.

"This website is absolutely the product of what happens when we have too much time on our hands while staying home."

Pornhub vice president Corey Price said in a press release: "Over the past few weeks, the one thing that has been repeated by literally everyone - politicians, scientists, celebrities and athletes - has been the importance of washing your hands thoroughly with soap and water to protect against this virus.

"We thought this presented a unique opportunity for Pornhub to bring some joy to something that has become so mundane and repetitive.

"We love working with talented creatives - in this instance alongside Ani and Suzy - and are proud to debut Scrubhub. Sometimes lighthearted content can be cathartic and help foster a sense of social cohesion."
