Single Mum Earns £1,500 Per Week Working As A Sugar Baby

A single mum who used to earn just £3.50 ($4.50) per hour at her waitressing job now rakes in around £1,500 ($1,900) each week after becoming a sugar baby, despite making everyone who dates her sign a 'no sex contract'.

Maria Young, 26, was working 10 hour shifts and still struggling to feed her two children when a friend told her about SeekingArrangement - a website that connects sugar daddies with sugar babies - and she decided to give it a go.

Since then, she's been living the high life - often receiving gifts worth £12,000 ($15,000) - and can provide her sons with the things they want, as well as treats too.

Maria, from Baltimore in Maryland, insists that - despite what you might think - her relationships are entirely platonic, and says that the men she dates are so generous that they've cleared her beauty school debt and allowed her to live solely on the profits from dating.

She said: "I'm a single mum, so before becoming a sugar baby, money was always a struggle. I was working 10-hour shifts, six days a week, at a local diner and getting next to no money.

"I couldn't afford to pay the rent or bills, let alone pay for childcare for my kids. I felt like it was all getting on top of me.

"Becoming a sugar baby has transformed my life. I've quit my job, I'm debt free, and I get to go and buy designer handbags."

"I can finally support my sons and treat them to nice things like PlayStation games and expensive clothes - all thanks to my two sugar daddies."

She decided to get into the sugar baby game after a mate told her that there was some serious money to be made. In 2018, she started looking online for men who would pay hard cash for her time.

She continued: "I'm an open-minded person and I was quite intrigued, so I just thought I'd give SeekingArrangement a try.

"To be honest, it's just like any other dating website. You can put in what type of man you're looking for in terms of interests and looks and just go from there.

"They [the men] just want someone to hang out with.

"They're all high-powered men, who are really busy, so I guess they just don't have time for conventional dating."

Before taking Maria out, the men have to sign a contract ensuring that there are no 'misunderstandings'.

She explained: "I didn't want there to be any misunderstanding or mix-ups. It's a business transaction at the end of the day.

"On the contract I outlined what I would and wouldn't do, and I made it clear that there wouldn't be any sex and I wouldn't take any sort of harassment.

"There's nothing wrong with a little bit of affection, like holding hands, but I'm not willing to go any further than that.

"It's just about keeping them company and having a good conversation."

Despite the pressures of keeping two men around as part of this business deal, and the effect it has had on her personal love life, Maria insists that she loves her job.

She concluded: "It's the best decision I could've made. It's really benefited my life and both my son's lives.

"Just go in with an open mind.

"Yes, you'll come across some weirdos, but you'll also find someone brilliant - like I did.

"Don't ever get discouraged as there's every chance this could change your life for the better."

As for the role of SeekingArrangement in all of this, they said: "People seeking non-traditional relationships, including non-monogamy, polyamory, age and wealth disparity, etc. have always existed.

"SeekingArrangement simply created the space for these like-minded daters to connect with one another without judgement.

"The key to success on SeekingArrangement is to be forthcoming about what you're looking to get out of a partnership and what you can give."
