A medical board has suspended a surgeon who performed TikTok dance videos while flaunting the removed fat and skin from her patients:

The Regional Medical Board of the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil, temporarily suspended plastic surgeon Caren Trisoglio Garcia's licence following the videos she shared on social media.

The surgeon was suspended on 8 April and the suspension was announced on the website that belongs to the board - which is called CREMESP - two days later.

Garcia's conduct is currently under investigation and she will not be able to attend to patients in the meantime. If found guilty of misconduct, she may have her licence revoked.

In the videos, the surgeon, who is based in the Brazilian municipality of Ribeirao Preto, can be seen smiling and dancing along to lively music while flaunting the removed fat and skin of her patients. Like you do.

In one of the clips, she can be seen holding a plastic bag of human fat to the camera, which she captioned: "This is the breast," before brandishing another liquid-filled bag and saying: "This is the underarm fat."

In another video, she can be seen holding up an ample cut of fat and skin, and wrote alongside it: "Today's trophy," followed by a number of zany face emojis and a red love heart emoji.

Garcia had already been suspended from the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery (SBCP) for six months after the board found her videos unethical.

The SBCP found that Garcia had broken five of its internal regulations, including sharing images of body parts, even with the patient's authorisation.

SBCP president Estefano Luiz Favaretto told local news channel EPTV that doctors were outraged when they saw Garcia's videos, and he encouraged Cremesp to "take action".

The surgeon boasts over 643,000 followers and some 11 million 'likes' on TikTok, where she also posts videos of herself posing and working out. Cremesp's investigation is ongoing.

Something else you might not expect from surgeons is the fact that they trim your pubes and body hair while you're under anaesthetic. Ok, so that is allowed though...

In the clip - which is part two of the series - Dr Karan explains how doctors often have to shave your pubic hair while you're knocked out, advising that you can avoid any embarrassment if you do it yourself the night before. Noted.
