Another day, another claim that Tupac Shakur is still alive - this time, he's in Belize.

A YouTuber describing themselves as a private investigator has claimed he has proof the rapper is in Central America.

Jimmy Poole, who has been investigating Tupac's death to find out the truth once and for all, with speculation sparked after seeing that Las Vegas police still have his file open.

Tupac was shot and killed on 13 September 1996, but there have been various claims of sightings over the years.

Speaking to Mirror Online, Poole said that he had new information that Tupac was in hiding in Belize, having leaked a new photo of him on his YouTube channel as well as what he says is a voice recording of him.

In his transcript, Poole claims that Tupac says: "God's great and let me come back in his 40s or whatever.

"Dam man... I'm fine, I ain't got no problems with anybody, I wish peace and happiness, there was nowhere else to go, nobody else wanted to take me.

"But all I kept in my mind is one day I'll be back!"

But Mike Dorsey, an investigative filmmaker, isn't convinced. He worked on the show Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G and has said that police in Las Vegas need to 'lay the ghost of Tupac' to rest and close the case.

Another day, another Tupac conspiracy theory.

He said: "Tupac is dead. Let's get that straight. All the conspiracy theories are wrong and this ongoing conjecture can simply be ended by the Metro Police finally acknowledging all the evidence that is there.

"Contrary to popular belief, we know exactly who killed Tupac and so does the Metro Police."

Much of the controversy surrounding Tupac's death has stemmed from Suge Knight and his son, who have spoken out numerous times about the rapper.

Knight, real name Marion Hugh Knight Jr, spoke to DailyMailTV - from prison - about his son's claims Tupac is alive and making music for the reboot of Death Row Records.

He is currently serving a 28-year-sentence after pleading no contest to voluntary manslaughter in September after a fatal hit-and-run in 2015, but his son Suge J Knight is in the process of launching the New Death Row label.

Knight said: "I'm definitely going to bring new Tupac music for you guys. I don't want to be out in the category of conspiracy theorists. Trust me. Tupac is good, Tupac is good.

"All I can say is this. People can't fathom to believe that I have new music on the way from him."

Responding to his son's claims, Suge Knight said: "For me personally, there were sightings. I knew my son was one of those times."
