Woman Bangs On Prince Andrew's Car Window In Royal Security Breach

Woman Bangs On Prince Andrew's Car Window In Royal Security Breach

The unidentified woman was seen hitting the window of Prince Andrew's Range Rover

A woman was pictured bashing on the window of Prince Andrew's Range Rover at Windsor Great Park today (17 December).

The unidentified female was able to get close to the Prince's black car following a royal security breach, The Mirror reports.

She was dressed in black as she approached the Duke Of York on an early morning drive.

As seen in the images, Prince Andrew looked visibly shocked by the incident as he didn't appear to make eye contact with the red haired woman who was hitting his window.

Waiting members of the media were seen quizzing the woman on the incident after police eventually turned up.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson told the publication that police were called to Albert Road, Windsor at around 10am.

The statement read: "A 50-year-old woman, of no fixed abode, has been arrested on suspicion of using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour to caused harassment/alarm/distress.

"She remains in custody."

It is still unknown why she was in the area after she was seen carrying a small yellow umbrella.

In October, Scotland Yard dropped their investigation into Prince Andrew.

British police were looking into claims from Virginia Giuffre, who alleges she was trafficked to London by disgraced billionaire and paedophile Jeffrey Epstein to have sex with the Duke of York when she was 17 years old. Prince Andrew has denied the claims.

The Metropolitan Police has probed these claims before and said they are essentially a matter for authorities in the US.

But when Ms Giuffre launched a civil lawsuit in New York against Prince Andrew, Met Commissioner Cressida Dick asked for the claims to be investigated again by her team.

Commissioner Dick said 'no one is above the law', adding: "As a result of what's going on, I've asked my team to have another look at the material."

However, Scotland Yard closed their investigation and decided not to take any further action.

A spokesperson told the Daily Mail: "As a matter of procedure, MPS officers reviewed a document released in August 2021 as part of a US civil action.

"This review has concluded and we are taking no further action."
