Would you like some good news to brighten up your horrible Sunday? The world's saddest polar bear has been freed from living at the Grandview Shopping Mall in Guangzhou, China, and is off to the ocean park where he was born, reports The Mail..

The owners of the mall have now announced on Chinese social media platform Weibo that the bear will also be reunited to his mum and dad.

However, they have also stated this will only be a temporary thing, while they renovate where he is currently housed. Let's hope it becomes a permanent thing!

Firstly, I think we need to have a think about who puts a polar bear in a mall? Shoppers don't want to see a really sad bear wishing for its misery to end. Just get some clothing shops, a Nando's and a Greggs and you're set.

The polar bear who is called Pizza (I'm calling my first born Pizza), broke hearts when his sad little face went viral after he was recorded in his home in the mall, slumped on his side and generally looking pissed off.

Dr Peter Li, from Humane Society International, told the Daily Mail: "Pizza the polar bear has endured a life of deprivation and suffering in his small, artificial glass-fronted room at the shopping mall, so the news that he's getting out at last makes me very happy and relieved for him.

Li also adds: "We implore the mall to make this a permanent move."

"No amount of renovation could ever make a shopping mall a suitable place for this animal, and to send him back now would be cruel and heartless."

So, there we go, life isn't so bad after all. Justice for Pizza has finally been served. Let's hope it stays that way.
