A Nokia Has Supposedly Stopped A Bullet From Killing A Man

A Nokia Has Supposedly Stopped A Bullet From Killing A Man

Possibly legit, probably not.

Back in the day, when Adam was a lad, my first mobile phone was a Nokia 8310.

I was the badass of school. While the paupers were wielding their 3310s, I had this little beauty.

And it used to belong to Marlon Harewood before I got my mitts on it. Marlon. Harewood. And as someone from Nottingham, this made me ever more popular. I lied and told everyone we were bezzies. And if you've never heard of Marlon Harweood then, frankly, I haven't got any time for you at all.

And now there's more proof that Nokias are the greatest phones ever created as one has supposedly stopped a man from dying. It may have took a bullet for someone in Afghanistan, as reported by The Mail.

The pictures of a bullet lodged in the Nokia 301, which was launched in 2013, show how it took the impact and supposedly saved his life, though some are speculating that it is, in fact, a whole heap of bullshit. It was tweeted by former Nokia executive Peter Skillman (looks like he left a sinking ship). It read: "A Nokia phone I worked on a few years ago saved the life of a man in Afghanistan last week."

Some have suggested that it may be a stunt to boost sales, but this seems unlikely as Skillman now works for Microsoft. It seems tenuous at best.

Skillman, who may or may not have skills in lying, claimed a co-worker sent him the image, and that he doesn't know any more about it, though he's happy to do a bit of sleuthing to find out.

This is not the first time that a Nokia has reportedly stopped a bullet, according to the Mail. In 2014, a Nokia Lumia 520 (I was once tricked into buying one of these), stopped a bullet from killing a Brazilian policeman who was shot by armed robbers.

I'm pretty sure I'll still have the 8310 somewhere. I bet there's still battery life on it as well.
