Imagine having a pint with The Notorious.

It seems like it would be pretty cool to be Conor McGregor. But the only downside would be that he can't seem to just enjoy a quiet drink down at the pub.

The UFC fighter rang Ollie Grimes, who owns Ollies Place in Skerries, Co Dublin, asking if it was alright if he popped down for a cold one.

Naturally, you don't say no to Conor and Ollie even organised a place for him to put his things when he arrived.

What Ollie wasn't expecting was the hundreds of locals who also heard that 'The Notorious' was paying their small town a visit.

The landlord has told the Irish Mirror: "He was absolutely brilliant with everyone, he posed for pictures with everyone but it was absolutely mayhem.

"We had a private table for him but we had another private room where I was able to bring him in when it got too crazy. Then he was heading off and I said, 'look you can stay in my place' and he said, 'aw yeah that would be great we can party on for another while'."

It's no secret that Conor has an impressive entourage when he travels. But Ollie was impressed to see two big Escalades parked outside the pub and two bodyguards outside the door.

Ollie says Conor is an extremely nice guy and they talked about his training and whether the Floyd Mayweather fight would get the green light. He says: "He's fairly adamant that the Mayweather fight is going to go ahead. He said he's in a win-win situation because it's all up to Mayweather now."

McGregor recently taunted Mayweather following the birth of his son:

After striking a deal with his promotion, the UFC, McGregor spoke about the historic contract while waiting on his opponent's side before the mega-fight can be made official.

"It is an honour to sign this record breaking deal alongside my partners Zuffa LLC, The Ultimate Fighting Championship and Paradigm Sports Management," McGregor said to The Mac Life.

"The first, and most important part of this historic contract has now officially been signed off on. Congratulations to all parties involved. We now await Al Haymon and his boxer's signature in the coming days."

UFC president, Dana White, said that McGregor has agreed the terms to the fight, and it will be straight-up boxing
