The Gorilla That Escaped From Enclosure At London Zoo Was Off His Bonce

The Gorilla That Escaped From Enclosure At London Zoo Was Off His Bonce

Kumbuka, king of the lads.

When I want to get a party started I put more concentrate in my squash.

Seems like Kumbuka, the silverback gorilla who briefly escaped from his enclosure last week at London Zoo, likes to go extremely hard as he drank five litres of pure concentrate blackcurrant squash before deciding the zoo life was not for him, as reports The Guardian.

Five litres! He puts my 40 percent concentrate to 60 percent water ratio on a Friday night to shame.

Kumbuka took his moment to escape when a zookeeper left two doors open. He then wandered down a corridor used solely by zookeepers. Opportunistic lad! A keeper who had a 'close bond' with him kept him calm. During this time, Kumbuka went for what he'd been after all that time - a gallon of concentrated squash, and a little more for good measure.

He knows what he wants. He saw the orange juice - he wasn't up for that. He was up for a rave and he made the most of it. He puts us all to shame. He saw that pure squash weeks ago. That sweet, sweet nectar. He couldn't take that diluted crap they kept giving him anymore. He was waiting for his moment to have that - every last drop, and no motherfucker was gonna tell him what to do.

Luckily, blackcurrant squash does not seem to have the same side effects as Stella and Kumbuka didn't go off on one.

Professor David Field, the zoological director for London Zoo, stated:

"I can certainly tell you that there were no broken locks, Kumbuka did not smash any windows, he was never 'on the loose', and his normal gorilla posturing reported by visitors earlier in the day was unrelated to the incident."

Yeah, but you can't argue he wasn't smashed!

He continued: "Staff raised the alarm that triggered our standard escape response, while Kumbuka briefly explored the zookeeper area next door to his den, where he opened and drank five litres of undiluted blackcurrant squash." SAVAGE!

"Kumbuka was immediately contained in the non-public area by quick-thinking zookeepers responding to the alarm, where he was tranquilised and moved back into his den."

After this he was safely returned to his enclosure. He also has a girl Aika and a boy called Gernot, who he gets to see again.

RIP Harambe.
