Guy Goes To Stone Roses Gig And Loses His Car For Six Months

Right, so before we get this show on the road I'm going to tell you about what it was like in Manchester when the Stone Roses played over the summer, because I reckon it probably explains how exactly a man from Scotland managed to lose his car for over 6 months, despite 'looking for it for five days'.

It was June. Imagine that stampede in the Lion King, you know the one I'm on about, the one that kills Simba's dad. That's essentially what the view from LADbible HQ showed you for miles around - only they weren't animals you could see. Oh no, this was a human stampede, and these particular animals lacked any of the agility of a wildebeest.

They're pissed-up, each of them wearing bucket hat, with pupils the size of the moon. It's only just hit 12 in the afternoon and they're all an absolute state. And they there planning to stay like that until Ian Brown could sing no more, until the last E could be dropped, until the music died. Afterwards they'll be feeling rough for days.

Enter the unnamed motorist from Scotland travelled down to Manchester for a concert by the Stone Roses that very June.

After the gig at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium the bloke couldn't remember where they had left it, so spent the next few days fruitlessly searching for the vehicle in various car parks, before giving up after day five.

The owner then emailed various companies and the council to see if it had been located or removed, before finally reporting the vehicle as lost/stolen in August.

Officers finally stumbled across the apparently abandoned car in a multi-storey at around midnight last Friday.

Inspector Phil Spurgeon from GMP City Centre team tweeted about the incident, saying: "11.55pm - Officers have found a car in a multi-storey lost since June, driver visiting city parked it but couldn't remember where.

"Driver apparently spent five days searching car parks in the city before reporting as lost/stolen."

Hinting at the massive cost of such a long stint in a city centre multi-storey, he added: "We can't imagine what the ticket machine is going to say when they finally put the ticket in - £££££££££££££££££££££££££££££."

Obviously this is all speculation and maybe the bloke was sober and just forgot. But, come on...
