This is one of those stories you hear and you're just like... what?! WHAT?!

Tanya Ramirez, a former teacher at a high school in Corpus Christi, Texas, pleaded guilty to an improper relationship with a 17-year-old student after they had sex. The student, Tristan, secretly recorded ten seconds of the intercourse and sent it to 11 of his friends.

Ramirez is now suing Tristan and his mother.

But WHY?!

Well, she claims that this was invasion of privacy. Also, she says that his mother calling her a "sexual predator" and accusing her of sleeping with other students is defamatory.

First of all, the age of consent in Texas is 17, so he wasn't underage. But she was his teacher. Anyway, she says that she was texting Tristan for three weeks before arranging for him to go to her house at around 2am on May 30, 2014. At this point, they went straight to the bedroom.

She's even been on popular American TV show, Dr Phil, to talk about it.

She said: "He had his phone in his pocket and then while having sex, he pulled it out, and I didn't see it. It's only about 10 seconds."

"When I found out there was a tape, I was in shock. I felt betrayed. We had been talking for almost a month so I trusted him that I could have sex with him and him not say anything, and we could keep it a secret. I do, now, feel that I was set up.

"I do feel that there was some type of motive or intent to get it out there that he had sex with a teacher."

Tristan also appeared on the show, and said: "The reason, like, I recorded it was because I had been drinking before, so I was not really in the right mind.

"I remember talking to my friend about it, and he was just telling me that if you don't have proof then I'm not going to believe you.

"But I didn't mean to send it out. I accidentally sent it in a group message, which I really didn't mean to do."

Ramirez' teaching license has been revoked, and it doesn't look like this is going to end any time soon.
