Cop Drives Man 100 Miles So He Can Be With Family After Sister Dies

What a nice guy.

At a time when the relationship between black Americans and the police is strained to say the very least, it's nice to come across a story like this one.

Mark Ross had to take a rushed trip from his home in Michigan to Detroit after he found out that his sister had sadly passed away.

His 15-year-old sister, Eliza Fletcher, had died in a car accident at 3am on Sunday, and Mark asked a friend to drive him home so he could be with his family.

During the journey, he and his friend were pulled over for speeding. The officer who pulled them over then also discovered that Mark's mate had a suspended licence and was arrested.

Mark had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, so he believed he would also be arrested. However, an officer at the scene took pity on Mark and his situation. He prayed for him and then drove him over 100 miles to Detroit.

Mark told Inside Edition: "It was just so overwhelming. They were trying to help us."

Mark's touching story has gone viral on social media.
