Simon went on to apologise to Honey after the invasion, telling her: "I'm so sorry about that, are you ok?"
He added: "I thought that was part of the act, I was quite worried."
Nicole Scherzinger looked confused and upset as security ran on stage and removed the invaders.
The cameras panned to the judges, with Louis Walsh attempting to create a façade of calm amongst the chaos.
Honey was comforted by Dermot O'Leary, but looked shaken by the incident.
Sharon Osborne later told the audience: "People just want to get close to her."
However, all may not be as it seems, as the Mirror reported that a second look at footage appeared to show that Honey G's performance crashers may have actually been pushed onto the stage by a member of the show's production team.
Fans on social media called the "gangster invasion" a "fix", labelling the show "pathetic".
So ITV are willing to fake a stage "invasion" to boost Honey G' la performance...a new low. Apparently you can touch this #XFactor
