Ramsay Bolton, what a dickhead.

The psychopathic 'Lord of the North' has inspired hate since first appearing on Game of Thrones, being responsible for raping Sansa Stark, murdering his dad and even feeding his baby brother to hunting dogs.

The lad's got no chill.

Speaking to the Independent, Iwan Rheon, who plays Ramsay on the show, has now revealed that he initially based the character on Heath Ledger's Joker from The Dark Knight.

Asked about his inspiration for his portrayal of the character, Iwan said: "Initially Heath Ledger's Joker, then I kind of thought Dennis the Menace.

"It's great to have that childlike glee in doing all these horrible things, and then Liam Gallagher's attitude and walk. But you forget all that stuff after a while."

It's fair enough, there's certainly one or two similarities between Ramsay and the Batman villain. For a start they're both massive pricks that seem to get enjoyment out of other people's misery.

Liam Gallagher's a bit of a prick too, so I can see that.

See what I mean?

Not too sure about Dennis the Menace though.

Iwan also took the opportunity to say he was nothing like his character on the show.

31-year-old had his acting breakthroughs playing Simon Bellamy in E4's Misfits and Ash Weston in the ITV sitcom Vicious.

Iwan might be an alright guy, but I still can't stand that Ramsay Bolton - hopefully he gets the same treatment as Joffrey got some time soon.
