If you've ever watched the hit show Rick and Morty and wished you could join them on their epic adventures then wish no more.

Adult Swim has clearly realised what fans really want and that's to go dimension hopping with our favourite grandad and grandson duo.

Dubbed the Rick and Morty Simulator: Virtual Rick-ality, it will be released on April 20 this year.

On Owlchemy Lab's website it says, "We've been working in secret for months, optimizing plumbus physics and working on the intricacies of Rick's flask. Now we're ready to give you all a hint of what's to come! (Spoiler alert: you can totally jump through portals in VR!)"

Holy fucking shit, YOU CAN JUMP THROUGH PORTALS.

"This is truly a dream project for us," the statement continues.

"We've been huge fans of the franchise since the beginning. Working with Justin Roiland is hilarious, and he gets us. In fact, we first met serendipitously over our mutual love of Job Simulator, got drunk, ate Indian food, and then decided to make a video game together. And now we're bringing the world of Rick and Morty to virtual life!"

So if you want to squanch your way through the endless dimensions of Rick and Morty's world then you only have to wait one more week.

But you can only get the game on HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.

Fans are still aching to know when season three will begin but they were thrown a bone on April Fools Day when the first episode went online.

People naturally went insane with happiness and also enjoyed finding all the hidden Easter eggs.

One of the most ridiculous results of the episode is that it might have convinced an international fast food franchise to resurrect something that hasn't been on its menu since the late 90s.

If you've seen the episode you'll know that a running theme is Rick's love of the discontinued McDonald's Szechuan sauce. It was released to promote the Disney movie Mulan and then disappeared forever.

At the end of the episode, Rick says: "I just took over the family, Morty, and if you tell your mom or sister I said any of this, I'll deny it. And they'll take my side because I'm a hero, Morty. Now you're gonna do whatever I say. FOREVER, And I'll go out and find some more of that Mulan Szechuan teriyaki dipping sauce, Morty. Because this is what this is all about, Morty."

He continues: "That's my one arm man, Morty. I'm not driven by avenging my dead family, Morty. That was fake. I'm driven by finding that McNugget sauce. I want that Mulan dipping sauce, Morty, that's my series arc. If it takes nine seasons, I want my dipping sauce Szechuan sauce. That's what's gonna take us all the way to the end. Season nine, nine more seasons until I get that dipping Szechuan sauce.

"97 MORE YEARS, I WANT THAT DIPPING SAUCE NOW, MORTY."

This spawned an uproar from the R&M fanbase who took to harassing McDonald's to bring back the sauce for their hero. And you know what? It might have worked...

As you can see, the official Rick and Morty account Tweeted Maccies and it responded favourably.

Then, a fan set up a change.org petition (which has already attracted more than 32,000 signatures)

The timing couldn't be more perfect as a live-action remake of Mulan is set to hit cinemas in November 2018. It's almost like it was planned.
