Jared Leto is playing the Joker in Suicide Squad, which will be theatrically released on August 5, 2016. As part of the promotion for the movie, Jared appeared on the The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, bringing a surprise gift for the host along with him.
Walking on stage, the 44-year-old actor held an innocent looking box tied with a ribbon tied around it.
But check out what was inside...

Yes, that's right, Leto only went and brought a live snake onto the set. Although from the way Fallon reacts you would have thought it was a boa constrictor - he looks scared shitless.
From Leto's reported behaviour on set during filming, you can hardly trust Fallon for initially being cautious about the 'present', even if he did over-react after it was opened.
According to uproxx.com, Leto's co-star Viola Davis nearly pepper sprayed him after he gave her a box of bullets as a gift during filming.
"It was a little worrisome," she said at the time. "It made you a little bit nervous and I'm pretty tough. You know I got into a few fights when I was growing up... but it scared me a little bit."
No shit, Viola.
Apparently this was all down to him 'method acting' but to be honest I don't believe method acting's actually a thing, and I reckon Leto's just using it as an excuse to act like a weirdo.
