Paul Walker's First Ever Lead Role Was Totally Different To Fast & Furious

Paul would have been celebrating his birthday today.

Paul Walker is best known for playing Brian O'Conner in the Fast and Furious movies. He starred in six movies, including a posthumous role in Furious 7.

However, his career didn't start with the Fast and Furious franchise. Paul was a child star and model who appeared in TV shows and commercials from the age of two.

In 1998, Paul, who would have been celebrating his birthday today had it not been for his sad death in a road accident in 2013, got his big break when he starred in his first feature film - and it was fucking weird.

Meet the Deedles is a comedy film following the lives of twins Phil (played by Paul) and Stew (played by Steve Van Wormer) who live in Hawaii and spend most of their time surfing and mooching off their rich dad. They accidentally become park rangers and have to defeat a disgruntled ex-employee who wants to destroy Yellowstone Park.

The '90s were a very strange time, weren't they? I'd have loved to be a fly on the wall when someone pitched this idea.

I can't decide if it's the best film ever or absolute shit. It's got an amazing soundtrack, though.
