Russell Brand Reveals Exactly Why He Split Up With Katy Perry

Russell Brand has revealed the exact reason why his marriage to Katy Perry didn't work out.

The 41-year-old English comedian opened up about the relationship on a In Conversation With... hosted by comedian John Bishop.

Russell blamed his breakup with Katy on the fact that she was too busy for him.

He said: "Katy was obviously very, very occupied and busy. I was occupied and busy but not to the same degree.

He went on to say he retained 'warm feelings' about his ex.

He added: "I have come away from that experience and I still feel very warm towards her. When I hear about her or see her, I think 'Ah, there's that person, that person in the world'."

The two of them began dating in 2009 after meeting at the MTV Video Music Awards, and got engaged the very same year.

But Brand then filed for divorce in 2011, having told her he was dumping her via a text message.

Despite the continued 'warm feelings', Russell Brand recently became a father with his girlfriend Laura Gallacher - so it looks like he's got over her.
