Watch out for the 'Crack Master'.

Imagine working on Sesame Street back in the day. Its the 1970's and you're at a meeting where everyone is discussing new characters.

'I've got an idea. OK, it's a little monster. Its red and it's a baby - we'll call it Elmo and it will love tickles! Of course, it won't be a scary monster - this is a kids' TV show after all'.

'Yes, I love it. Elmo! Cute name'.

'Bill, how about you? Any ideas for new characters?'

'Well, yes, actually. How about this? A little girl lies alone on her bed when the cracks in the wall take on the shape of animals, but wait, what's that? Another crack? Uh oh, it's the Crack Master.

'The sinister Crack Master who wishes the little girl and the crack animals harm. It's all too much, what will happen next? The wall falls apart, where has it gone? It's been consumed by its own evilness. But don't sleep too well, because it can come back at any time...'

'Here. I've made a drawing for it...'

The Crack Master will kill your children.

Now, I can't guarantee that is exactly how the conversation went down, but there is a rarely seen Sesame Street cartoon containing the Crack Master. They actually went with it!

I can't stop laughing that someone signed off on the term 'crack creatures'. 'Crack monkey'? Yeah kids will love that. This show probably led to the crack epidemic that hit LA in the mid-80s.

This is seriously creepy. Enjoy.

This amazing cartoon was only shown 11 times before they decided to put it in the vault. But now it's on YouTube for all the world to see.
