For many, Jumanji is a film they grew up with. It's also a sad reminder than Robin Williams is no longer with us.
There had been rumours for some time that Sony wanted to remake the film, then they died off.
Now, it's confirmed, by none other than The Rock himself, who will star as the main character in the movie. In between shooting Baywatch the man will certainly be busy, but is this really a good idea?

Posting on Instagram Johnson wrote: "It's OFFICIAL: Love this script! Big movie news that me and my canine gal Shang are excited to share."
This follows recent reports that Sony were trying to recruit Kevin Hart for the reboot also.
It's thought the movie will begin shooting this summer before release in July 2017.

"[Taking] existing properties that are beloved worldwide like #BAYWATCH and #RAMPAGE and... tell[ing] their stories in dope new ways to a whole new generation is truly an honor," The Rock wrote. "We'll produce and deliver to a whole new generation a title that I love and is one of my all-time faves: there's games you play for fun... then there's games that change your life. JUMANJI."
We sure hope you're right Dwayne. Robin Williams was one of the most loved actors of a generation and if there's anyone who can do the film justice hopefully it's The Rock, hopefully.
