We now know when the Prison Break spin-off will be hitting British screens.

The new nine-part series, Prison Break: Resurrection, is going to be first aired in the UK on Monday, April 10. It will air at 9pm on FOX, just six days after its US premiere.

The show will follow Wentworth Miller's Michael Scofield, who's now behind bars in Yemen.

Dominic Purcell, Sarah Wayne Callies, Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar and Paul Adelstein will also all reprise their title roles, alongside the return of series creator Paul T. Scheuring.

In the trailer, Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) is handed an image of Michael by an old pal, who regular viewers of the show will recognise as Robert Knepper's character, Theodore 'T-Bag' Bagwell, and he realises there's every chance his long-dead sibling is alive and in trouble.

Fans had questioned in the past whether the show would pretend Michael's death was fake, but FOX TV boss Dana Walden dismissed the rumours at the time.

He said: "I would describe it as a bit of a sequel. It picks up with the characters several years after we left them in the show.

"There will be a logical and believable explanation to why the characters are alive and still moving around the world."

Who knows what will happen, though, until it returns.
