Man Waits A Year For Domino's Order, Sues Them Instead

Man Waits A Year For Domino's Order, Sues Them Instead

Seems fair.

An Aussie guy has been awarded more than $1,200 after waiting longer than a year for his Domino's order, which seems fair enough to me. He must be starving.

Tim Driscoll, who's a lawyer so is probably used to getting his own way, ordered three pizzas, two garlic breads and two bottles of Coca Cola on 25th April last year.

The food still hadn't arrived an hour later so he called up to complain. The manager apologised, explained that it was a really busy day, and offered Tim a full refund. Tim never got his refund and after a year of waiting was, understandably, pissed off.

Tim, who specialises in personal injury and worker's compensation (of course he does), claims that he wanted to teach the company a lesson and initially asked for $9,000. I love being petty, so I love this.

According to 9news, the matter was heard in court on Wednesday. Domino's didn't attend or even acknowledge the judgement but that didn't stop the court demanding the company pays Tim $1,203 for his legal fees and to refund him $37.35 for the order.

The fast food chain has accused Tim of wasting the court's time and has said it will appeal the decision. Tim isn't scared, though, he's said he's taking the matter further and will prosecute for breaching consumer laws. Can't we all just get along?
