The McDonald's Pizza Is Available In Two Locations And People Are Travelling Miles To Try It

It looks amazing.

There's many reason it would have been good to be alive in the 80s.

Nobody looked twice if you stepped out of the house with a mullet, you'd have had a chance to see Prince and Michael Jackson in their prime, and - if you were skilled at a Rubik's Cube - any loser had a shot at getting laid.

What's more, you could have stepped into a Maccies and ordered a pizza.

Sadly, things change. But take a look at this advert and see if it doesn't make you want to travel back there...

Pizza's were available to buy from the fast food restaurant until the late 90s - but were eventually dropped by most outlets as the 11-minute cook time went against the company's "fast food" philosophy.

But not all of them.

Pizza is still on the menu in two locations in America - Pomerory in Ohio and Spencer in West Virginia.

The McPizza has proved so popular that fans travel from around the country to try it.

In fact, earlier this month, Mitchell Boughner, Nathan Dallaire and Dan Sutherland drove from Canda to Spencer, West Virginia to sample the pizza.

The road trip took them more than eight hours each way and cost them $70 USD (£56) each, including the pizza.

They recorded their journey here...

Those lucky enough to try a slice have been sharing photographs on social media.

One fan wrote: "Today was a good day, had McDonald's pizza for the first time in almost 20 years which also means I'm very old..."

The guys living in Canada can't complain about the journey too much, seeing as though the menus back home already look better than here in the UK.

McDonald's recently introduced 'Waffle Fries' (aka criss-cross fries) to their stores in Canada and, naturally, the rest of the world is pretty jealous.

There's another reason to be jealous of the politest country on the planet - their Christmas menu also has a potato-rosti bacon burger, chocolate sundae with pecans, a salted caramel latte and a peppermint mocha coffee.

And just look at the burger.

It's hard to not be jealous.
