Turns out there is a god.

Usually I'm a pint man, but when I do decide to mix it up, my go to drink is a gin and tonic. So, I'm delighted to hear that here in the UK a mobile gin bar can now be hired to bring gin right to your front door.

The van, named The Wanderer, is stocked full of a variety of different gins, along with wines and artisan ales.

But it doesn't come cheap, the minimum hire for the fully-stocked bar is £1,500 - and that's ignoring the £500 charge for the bar team, ice and glassware.

Nick Whitby, Head Of Bars at NWTC says: "We get inundated with requests asking if we can provide our cocktails and drinks for their private celebrations. The Wanderer is perfect for this.

"The vehicle has been adapted to house a sleek bar but it also promises to deliver our highest standard of award winning cocktails and drinks no matter where the celebration is, up and down the country."

This van tends to stock the more high-brow brands of gin, so you can feel like a real baller if you ever hire it out.

The Wanderer is sponsored by Plymouth Gin which was created in 1793 at the UK's oldest working gin distillery. Sweet.

Magin Trewhella, Head of Marketing at Pernod Ricard UK, said: "We're delighted to be working with The New World Trading Company to launch this innovative and exciting new way for consumers to enjoy Plymouth Gin."

They continued: "The Wanderer is a natural fit for the brand as from its inception, the British Royal Navy consumed it on the move. Plymouth's gentle yet complex flavour profile has long been acknowledged by bartenders as an ideal gin for cocktails, so it's fantastic to be merging the excitement of a new venture with the heritage of the historic brand. We can't wait for even more consumers to experience the super-premium gin in a variety of expertly-made cocktails."

Anyone who's willing to drive alcohol straight to my door is okay by me. Anyone fancy going halves for our Christmas do?
